iPAD NO BRASIL - LANÇAMENTO EM MARÇO

Após meses de boatos e especulações, Steve Jobs mostrou ao público o iPad, o aguardado tablet da Apple. Muito parecido com um iPhone em proporções maiores, o dispositivo tem tela totalmente sensível a multitoques, ausência de teclado físico e dimensão de 9,7 polegadas.

Com 1,3 cm de espessura e peso de 680 gramas, o iPad permite navegar na internet, ver e-mails, ler revistas, livros e jornais em formato digital, rodar vídeos, games e exibir fotos. O New York Times e a National Geographic, por exemplo, já anunciaram uma parceira com a Apple para oferecer versão digital de suas publicações para iPad.

"A Amazon fez um grande trabalho ao criar o Kindle, mas queremos ir além no mercado de livros eletrônicos da nossa própria maneira", disse, ao exibir a loja online de livros da Apple.
